Abstract

In February 1968, Kathleen Lumley College in North Adelaide was opened by its eponymous benefactor with the supplication, ‘May God endow everyone who will work in this college with health, wisdom and happiness’. Almost 40 years later, this major work from the firm of Dickson & Platten remains virtually unchanged. Scrupulously maintained and sympathetically managed, it is a living piece of twentieth-century Australian architectural regionalism
