Abstract
This concluding chapter draws together the information on the risk environment created by the coronavirus pandemic since 2019, and critically reviews the range of potential solutions offered by the contributors. It evaluates the successes of crime prevention solutions achieved during the current pandemic and considers how effective these might be to address criminality arising from future pandemics and other global economic shocks. It concludes with some sobering observations on the crime control and regulatory failures present during the current pandemic and develops strategies that could be used to avoid similar problems arising in the future.
