Potential visitors are reminded that the trails all occur on lands where traditional owners have rights and interests to land and waters according to their traditional law and customs.
The Four Witchelina Nature Reserve Nature Drive Field Guides (Ridgetop, Dunes, Bungarider and Old Mt NW Gorge Tracknotes) previously submitted as UniSA NTRO's from their 2020 publication, were updated in 2021 and then received a significant revision in 2023. This included a similar presentation as 40-50 page softbound volumes. There was minor revision to the geological geosite content with addition of some figures and text. However, the four page geological introductions were removed and are in preparation as a separate introductory volume which will also include biodiversity and cultural introductory sections. There was significant addition of biodiversity and cultural descriptions within the revised trail guides using the prior geological descriptions as a model. This provided a greater balance for the overall guides.Two completely new and additional Nature Reserve Nature Drive Field Guides (Marree-Old Mt NW Gorge and Farina-Old Mt NW Gorge) were also published in 2023 in the new format.
