Abstract

Analyses the effects of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) alone and in combination with glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) on three models of myocardial ischaemia and reperfusion. A sensitive and specific assay for malondialdehyde (MDA) in plasma was developed in order to assess the extent of oxidative stress in this series of studies.
