Ore blending is an important process in open pit mining, which to a great extent determines the effectiveness of processing plant output. Therefore, it is necessary to manage this process effectively, using modern information and communication infrastructure. Currently software market in Kazakhstan is occupied by foreign IT companies offering expensive solutions for local mining companies. At the same time state of information technology and modeling methods allow to develop algorithms of mining processes as a basis for national mining software development. The paper suggests information system for designing effective technological schemes for open pit mining, which is supposed to trigger native IT developments for Kazakh mining industry.
