Abstract

In passive bistatic radar, the detection of moving targets is enhanced by cancellation of low-Doppler returns from the surveillance signal. Strong returns from small moving objects can also impact upon detection statistics. Methods of point clutter removal may require precise estimates of the associated Doppler,or may be numerically intensive. We consider a method of low-Doppler clutter cancellation which exploits the structure of an OFDM illuminating signal, and extend it to cancel specific blocks of delay and Doppler shift. The method is illustrated with simulated data and also applied to a real data set
