dc.description.abstractIn a review of the National Gallery of Victoria’s ‘blockbuster’ inaugural NGV Triennial exhibition the author considers the role of the contemporary art museum as popular spectacle, immersive environment and cultural commentary. In particular the review discusses the increasingly hybrid art-architecture phenomenon of spatial installations.
