Abstract

This combined crystallographic and theoretical study of selected organotin systems has addressed the question whether crystal packing effects can significantly influence molecular geometry. Attempts at correlating changes in Sn-ligand parameters with the Lewis Acidity of the tin centre and/or the Lewis basicity of the ligand were also undertaken in this study.
