dc.description.abstractCreating vibrant and successful spaces is the core of placemaking that empowers communities and offers touristic opportunities and thereby boosts economic, social and environmental returns. Main streets and precincts are spaces which form focal points of urban activity. Arts and events are tools that can be used to regenerate and activities spaces, delivering vibrant and robust communities. This qualitative study of places and precincts developed a model that highlights the key challenges and opportunities for creating vibrant places and precincts.
