dc.description.abstractThis chapter is concerned with my practical experience with one language community, that of Norfolk Island, where I have been carrying out field work for the last four years and with the help of a large Australian Research Council grant hope to carry out considerably more work, particularly in the area of language revival and maintenance over the next four years.
