dc.description.abstractPolyunsaturated B-oxa fatty acids I are readily obtained from naturally derived polyunsaturated fatty alcohols 2 via rhodium(II) acetate-catalysed reaction with tert-butyl diazoacetate 3, followed by ester cleavage.
