Abstract
The contributions of the thesis are: (1) we coin the notion of COREs and develop three novel methods for discovering COREs; (2) we show the effectiveness of CCA as a ranking criterion; (3) we apply the methods to real-world biological datasets to find gene regulatory modules (which will help biologists with experi-ment design), and to bibliography datasets to get topic models.
