Abstract
This research uniquely integrates the childhood literature with the shopper literature to better understand the influence of children on adult shoppers. It is the first study to investigate the influence of children on a shopping trip with a direct focus on the outcomes of a trip, from a shopper research perspective, rather than from a perspective of concern about the undue influence of advertising via children.
