Abstract
The article presents the author's views on young people identity work since they find their transitions in life through fluid cultural and social environments. The author describes Adelaide's 'scene kids which is an interest community based on heavy metal music subgenre. The process in which scene kids indulge show the ways in which they engage in their lifestyles when they face social and economical circumstances.
