Abstract

Background: The first paper in this series explored the general philosophy of evidence-based practice for sonographers. Aims: This paper focuses on a specific type of research question that is of most relevance to the practice of sonography, the diagnostic accuracy study. Conclusion: As users of the medical literature, it is important that sonographers are able to accurately read and critically review diagnostic accuracy studies.
