Abstract

This thesis reports on the behaviour and design of unreinforced masonry buildings when subjected to forces induced into the structure from earthquake ground motion. The study involves the monitoring of ambient vibrations in a number of unreinforced masonry buildings in Adelaide to identify their dynamic properties.
