Abstract

This paper describes the circumstances under which a tin trunk containing many valuable memorabilia of the pioneering anthropologist Ursula McConnel came into the hands of the author. The trunk contained over 800 filed photographs and 3000 MS pages, and these are briefly described. The value of the contents for the history of Australian anthropology is set into context.
