Small and Medium -sized Enterprises (SMEs) play a critical role in many national economies, including in Thailand. Nevertheless, a lack of understanding of export channel selection and management has often been a critical barrier inhibiting the ability of SMEs to initiate, expand or sustain their export operations. This deficit of knowledge is the motivation for this research which is designed to investigate the factors affecting export channel selection among Thai electrical products, SME exporters, and the impact of such selection, together with other key determinants, on export performance. The Thai electrical products industry was selected, among other reasons, because it contributes significantly to the nation's export economy.
