dc.descriptionExtent: 4 programmes; 20 Concerts in the series Each new programme was broadcast live, to a national audience, by ABC Classic FM and recorded onto a set of CDs archived by the ABC. This event presented new works by Australian composers, Elena Kats-Chernin (world premiere of a new work for string quartet), Carl Vine, Graeme Koehne, plus Alfred Schnittke, alongside works by Beethoven, Sibelius, Mendelssohn, Dvorka, Berg, Schubert, and Haydn. Major sponsors for the 2007 season were Westpac Private Bank, Allens Arthur Robinson, Allan and Maria Myers, Peter and Ellie Hunt, Ulrike Klein, The Westin, Rymill, Coonawarra, ABC Classic FM, and The University of Adelaide. With support from both the Australia Council and Arts SA.
