Abstract

Hibbertia ericifolia and H. florida in the informally named H. vestita species group from eastern Australia are critically re-evaluated. Evidence is presented to show that H. ericifolia subsp. acutifolia and H. florida subsp. angustinervis are better placed at species rank, and these are formally described here as H. acutifolia (Toelken) T.Hammer and H. angustinervis (Toelken) T.Hammer. Hibbertia florida and H. ericifolia and the related H. intermedia are compared to the new species and updated descriptions are given.
